Types of Irrigation
Our Gardens Are Very Personal, Individual and Unique Places. At AndysIrrigation our Irrigation Systems are designed around you to suit your requirements in the Garden.
We cater for any type of Landscape from a small terrace to a large country estate.
Only High Quality Irrigation Products are sourced to provide you with a reliable System .
Micro Sprinklers -For use in Flower beds, Herbaceous Boarders, Vegetable Gardens and Greenhouses.
Microsprinklers are very economical and have a variety of uses within an Irrigation System . They are small rotating sprinklers on a stake that spray a fine mist spray. They use very little water, so many of these can be connected to a small main pipe that is run back to a garden tap or water source.
These are very effective in getting water direct to the plants at ground level. Because any pipework is on the surface, (or buried just under mulch if required) the sprinklers can be moved around to suit the planting as it develops.
Drip Irrigation -For Containers & Hanging Baskets, Greenhouses, Trees and Lawns.
This Type of Irrigation can be ideal for small Containers or areas where low water pressure is available. This can be lengths of drip pipe that drips a specific amount of water along the length of the pipe to water the application evenly. Or this can be individual adjustable drippers that can be discreetly placed in containers and hanging baskets. The drippers are then connected back to a small pipe that is run back to a garden tap or can be incorporated within a larger pumped Automatic System.
Drip Irrigation also works very well underneath a newly laid lawn . Lateral lengths of drip pipe are pinned down and are covered with top soil. The lawn can then be turfed or grass seed can be sown. This method is very effective as there is no water lost through evaporation.
Pop Up Sprinklers -For Lawns, Flower Boarders and Larger Areas of Garden.
Lawn pop up sprinklers are used to water areas of grass and planting. They are installed below ground level and pop up with the water pressure to irrigate the grass evenly. These can be static or they can rotate.
They require more water pressure therefore a submersible pump inside a water tank is needed. When incorporated within a fully Automatic Irrigation System, pop up sprinklers can be very effective.
